Stonehouse Town Council

  Welcome to Stonehouse

Mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 Stanhaus (Stonehouse as it is now) boasted amongst others things, 2 mills valued at 17/6d and 2 vineyards at £8. Stonehouse now has considerably more mills, many involved in cutting edge technology, and 4 pubs replacing the vineyards.

Ideally placed at the edge of the Cotswolds, Stonehouse offers a wonderful opportunity to live and work in the countryside. Situated two miles from junction 13 of the M5 and boasting a railway station with a direct link to London the town offers commerce an attractive location without the loss of vital transport links.

For the individual the town offers easy, flat access with a wide range of excellent shops and cheap parking! To live or work in the town means never being more than 5 minutes walk from the countryside.
